Ignacio is managing partner of Bufete Aguirre, Quintanilla, Soria & Nishizawa and focuses his practice in Banking, Financial and Stock market law, as well as on energy and environmental law. He provides legal advice to companies and entities, both national and international. He also advises to other Board of Directors of Bolivian companies. Ignacio was also managing partner at Bufete Aguirre Soc. Civ.

Ignacio is currently the Sindico Titular at Banco Solidario S.A. and member of the Board of Directors (as independent Director) of CREDIBOLSA S.A., and of the American Chamber of Commerce of Bolivia – AMCHAM BOLIVIA.

He is past member of the Board of Directors of Hidroelectrica Boliviana S.A., Electricidad de La Paz S.A., Empresa de Luz y Fuerza Electrica de Oruro S.A., Compania Administradora de Empresas Bolivia S.A., Empresa de Servicios EDESER S.A., Iberbolivia de Inversiones S.A., Iberdrola de Inversiones S.A.

Ignacio has been Legal Assistant for Environmental Matters at Empresa Minera Inti Raymi S.A. and has participated in the Committee for the EIA Regulation to the Environmental Law.

He has also been Invited Lecturer of Environmental Law at the Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo”, La Paz
