FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS TAX (ITF) ELIMINATION

Law 1717 of April 10, 2026 repeals Law 3446 of July 21, 2006, which created the ITF, a tax that primarily levied banking transactions conducted in foreign currency.

Likewise, Normative Resolution of the Board of Directors (RND) 102600000013, issued by the National Tax Service on April 13, 2026, repeals RND 10.0011.10 of May 25, 2010, “ITF Regulation”, as well as its subsequent amendments.

With the issuance of these new regulatory provisions, the ITF is removed from the Bolivian legal framework as a measure to alleviate the costs associated with financial transactions in foreign currency and in national currency with value maintenance, encouraging the use of the formal financial system and contributing to economic revitalization.
