PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:

Sergio is a Senior Associate at Aguirre Quintanilla Soria y Nishizawa Law Firm, with an experience of more than 15 years in the practice of law, mainly dedicated to strategy in the routing of litigation and judicial processes, likewise, he has practiced corporate, labor and commercial law, recognized for the strategic approach and leadership skills. He has worked in multinational companies and law firms, standing out for the resolution of complex legal conflicts and the implementation of innovative solutions that boost business development.

He started working in the Public Ministry of the Nation, District Attorney’s Office of the city of La Paz Bolivia as Assistant Prosecutor in the Financial Economic, Public Corruption and Special Operations Divisions; later, he was hired by law firms in the practice of law for the sponsorship of judicial processes; consecutively he was part of a telecommunications company where he provided support and legal advice on labor and contractual issues and handled judicial processes at national level, in coordination with external lawyers. Subsequently, he was hired in one of the two companies that have managed the pension fund in the country, occupying the position of National Legal Advisor, where he worked transversally in the strategic legal advice for the decision making of senior executives. Consequently, he was promoted to assistant manager in the AFP with the objective of leading dozens of lawyers dispersed in different cities in order to manage one of the largest portfolios of arrears in the country. In this position, he is in charge of the reorganization, movement of processes and, above all, the collection of millions of Bolivianos in favor of the Integral Pension System. He was also invited to be part of the Board of Directors of a non-profit association where he served as president.

He has held key positions in prestigious companies, where he led teams and designed legal strategies that generated significant results. His work in the management of the portfolio of arrears of the Pension System was particularly outstanding, achieving an effective recovery through judicial and extrajudicial processes. In addition, he has advised on labor and corporate matters, strengthening regulatory compliance and strategic decision making in the corporate environment.
